Kathmandu is like an alluring whirlwind of sights, sounds, smells and colours. Almost overwhelming, its charm and history peaks out from the most unexpected places rendering most visitors enamoured.
Days 3-4 Kathmandu Valley
Incredibly scenic with stunning views of the Himalayas (on a good day of course), Nagarkot looks down over the Kathmandu Valley. An ancient town located close to Kathmandu city, Bhaktapur is like stepping back in time with its heritage buildings, cobblestones, shrines and car-free streets
Day 5 Nuwakot
Nuwakot is home to breathtaking mountain vistas, a fascinating bazaar and the Famous Farm, which sits on a terraced hillside with charming accommodation and organic fields.
Day 6 Trisuli River
Running through Tibet, Nepal and eventually meeting the Ganges, the Trisuli River is named after the trident of Shiva and is famed for its excellent rafting.
Day 7 Bandipur
Bandipur is a delightful Nepalese town with traditional wooden houses, narrow streets and daily life spilling out into the streets, the same as it has been for centuries.
Day 8 Pokhara
Nestled in a valley and sitting on a lake so still it reflects the mountains, Pokhara is the gateway to the Annapurna Ranges and Nepal's second largest city.
Days 9-11 Taratop Trek
Trek through alpine meadows, verdant forests, small villages and rhododendron forests, all the while looking on to the stunning Annapurna Ranges.
Days 12-13 Pokhara
With towering peaks in the distance and streets filled with cafes, shops and temples, Pokhara is a relaxing city sitting by the banks of Phewa Lake.
Days 14-15 Kathmandu
With the two sister cities of Bhaktapur and Lalitpur (Patan) close by, Kathmandu has a wealth of sights to explore, markets to discover and places to relax in.
