Lonely Planet review for Moondance Restaurant
The much-loved Moondance is a Lakeside institution. Quality food, good service and a roaring open fire all contribute to the popularity of this tastefully decorated restaurant. Its menu features salads, pizzas, steaks and decent Indian and Thai curries. For dessert, the lemon meringue pie is legendary. Wi-fi is available.

fastkiss does not recommend this,
Right at the heart of lakeside, a good place to be but not great food. Their presentation was good but food, not the same. The LP recommended Lemon merengue was a disaster. My friend ordered a tikka kebab which looked good was didn't taste great. I ordered a pad thai, and asked for it to be mild and also had it translated by my local friend but it turned out that the chef poured down the whole bottle of chilli. They also got me the wrong dish at first place.
They've got waiters who are very uptight, not very friendly, atleast the 2 who served us. I had a local friend with me and the waiters were just very rude to him. We tried to play some pool but one of the waiter's said, it would disturb other customers, which was weird as it got me thinking what was the pool table for.....although the waiters themselves kept coming back every 5 mins to hit 2-3 shots.
