Unfer new ownership - not a great place anymore
barbaraw does not recommend this,
I spend 3-5 months per year in Pokhara and just returned a month ago. When I went to am-pm last week, the person at the counter was someone I'd never seen before. I ordered my regular Americano, which he said he could make, but then explained it would be filter coffee - of course the price he wanted to charge me was for the Americano rather than a regular cup of brewed coffee. When I questioned him, he said they could not use the Espresso machine when the power is out (the power is out 10-16 hours per day here, depending upon season). He is the new owner, and has decided not to invest in a generator. The overall quality of the baked goods has, of course, gone entirely downhill, as the sister of the previous owner did all the baking herself and she is no longer there. I'm looking for another place that has great coffee.

Superb coffee and desserts. A home away from home.
napping_muse recommends this,
If you are craving a cup of perfectly brewed coffee (or tea) and warm smile, I highly recommend going to the Am/Pm Organic Cafe. David takes great pride in sourcing out the best fair trade beans and making his customers feel welcome.
You need to save room for the delicious cakes and desserts lovingly made by Sabina, his sister. The banana chocolate chip cake and the caramel squares are like little slices of heaven.
A great place to meet locals and other travelers. Enjoy!

Marmite on Toast, the only words an Englishman needs to hear
balachandran recommends this,
If you are not a Marmite Lover, shame on you. But for all others when the coffee withdrawal sets in through months of avoiding the dread of Nescafe the only place to go is AM/PM. The coffee is outstanding and local, the cake well you'll be hard pushed to find better. May I recommend the Lemon Cake, may sure you get there early though, it tends to run out by mid afternoon.
And above all else, David the owner is warm, welcoming and knows his coffee. What more do you need. -
Best cappuccino in town, great cakes and friendly service.
arieb0mbarie recommends this,
Since the first day of our stay in Pokhara we came back her for 2 or 3 times a day. We tried other places but the best coffee is definately at this place. They have the best organic products. Not only the coffee but also the fruitshakes, lassi, cheese cakes and especially the caramel cake is a recommendation. The place is run by a really friendly guy, David, who makes you feel at home. It's no coincidence that most people you see here one day are coming back the next.
Located just beside crowdy tourist Pokhara just 15 meter from the main street.Good for: chill out, Breakfast with organic coffee

Fab coffee, friendly staff and always someone to talk to!!!
carolwales recommends this,
I stayed at a hotel next to Am/Pm Organic Cafe and went there on my first day! By day 5 (my last day) it quickly became a nice habit! I would pop in for the great coffee or the ginger/lemon/honey tea, to use Wi-fi, chat and to fellow travellers and it was lovely talking to David, the owner - a lovely man! The coffee shop is literally tucked metres around the corner from the lake but you don't get pestered by street sellers, so a great chill-out place. Go there.... you will love it!

Great coffee, food, atmosphere, music and friendly staff
rhamill recommends this,
Great little cafe. Lovely coffee and food. Relaxed atmosphere with chilled music and very friendly staff. Can sit here reading my book all day and sipping on coffee. Outside has a nice view of lake and a good place to people watch. Cafe located outside of main bazaar area so more relaxed and away from the hassle of town which is still only a few minutes walk away if you require a change. The other branch on lakeside referred to in the Lonely Planet does not exist anymore
Good for: atmosphere, food, coffee
