Lonely Planet review for Third Eye Restaurant
Next door to Yin Yang, and run by the same people, this is a long-running favourite that retains something of the old Kathmandu atmosphere. There’s a sit-down section at the front, and a more informal section with low tables and cushions at the back and a rooftop terrace. Indian food is the speciality and the tandoori dishes are especially good.

they are the best
sniggye recommends this,
There is a rooftop terrace and the Indian food is to die for; try the butter chicken masala or spaghetti because they are the best in Kathmandu. for details do visit "http://thirdeyerestaurant.com/

Best naan!
shanny7 recommends this,
I walked into the 3rd Eye the first time with a craving for some spicy Indian food and hot naan, and after being thoroughly satisfied, I couldn't stay away. I would argue that this place has some of the best naan in town, as well as tons of options of different Indian dishes. There are some pretty good options for vegetarians, too. Don't come here if you don't want Indian food, though, as there isn't much else to choose from in the menu!
The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, and their rooftop dining gives you a good perch to look down at the bustling streets as you dine. As far as the service goes, they are super helpful. As a single woman traveling, however, I found the waiters to be a little too interested, which was a bit disconcerting, but at least I got uber-fast service!
One last recommendations--try the bakery, which is located through the archway to the right of the main entrance. They have amazing cakes and rumballs that are rich enough to make you melt!Good for: Romance, atmosphere, food, Groups, Families
