Lonely Planet review for Banu’s Total Fitness
A decent health club for aerobics addicts is Banu’s Total Fitness, hidden down an alleyway southeast of the New Royal Palace. There are aerobics classes at 7am, 10.30am (women only) and 5.30pm, and regular yoga lessons (Rs 1500 per month). A visit costs Rs 200 for nonmembers, or Rs 375 with cardio machines and sauna.

Best local gym for the price
yksmirk recommends this,
Banu's is one of the best maintained fitness centers in Kathmandu (aside from the expensive hotel fitness centers). Walk in price is 400 nrps for machines and an extra 100 nprs for the weights. There is a hot sauna and showers. All the facilities seem clean and well managed. Recommended for locals and expats. There are also walk in yoga (200nrp) and zumba (300npr) classes.
Be aware of the loadshedding schedule and if it will effect your work out routine (electric machines).
