Outstanding trips! Outstanding Company!
nicrose recommends this,
I have been on a few trips with Paddle Nepal, and I have always enjoyed them. Incredible guides, excellent food and great fun paddling & camping on the river. I highly recommend joining any rafting trips they have going and even better tempt anyone to join the kayak clinic - although a bit scary at times - its the best fun I have had in years!

By far the best whitewater adventure company in Nepal!

I am new to Lonely Planet and other travel review forums, but I have just come back from such an amazing time with Paddle Nepal, that I have to spread the word.
I have traveled back and forth to Nepal for years as I work for a volunteer organization. Over the years I have taken my volunteers rafting and we have used several different companies out of Kathmandu. This time I went by the recommendation of some other travelers and chose Paddle Nepal from Pokhara. We went on a 3 day trip on the Kaligandaki and it was AMAZING. By far the best rafting trip I have been on in Nepal and quite possibly the best organized tour I have been on anywhere in the world. Although the guides are all Nepalese, their english and leadership were of international quality. The equipment was new and imported brands (most companies have lifejackets made in Nepal, but Paddle Nepal's were ISO certified). The food was outstanding and the camping set up perfectly organized and really impressive.
One thing you should know if you come to Nepal - there are no safety standards or rules or regulations, so you have to chose very carefully. Paddle Nepal may be a little more expensive than some, but they are totally worth it and you should not bargain when it comes to safety or good quality.

Absolutely fantastic!

I just came back from a rafting trip on the Upper Seti River with Paddle Nepal. It was amazing! The guide was awesome. His english was perfect, he was fun, strong, super cute and way more professional than I expected to find in Nepal.
Word of warning...the Paddle Nepal Kathmandu office in Thamel is terrible. Staff english is very poor, and they dont seem to know much about the trips. Do not let this fool you! Their main office and operations are in Pokhara, and there you will see how big and professional they really are. I would never have booked with Paddle Nepal in Kathmandu, but after seeing their big office in Pokhara and chatting to their super friendly staff (western & nepalese), I quickly became confident in their professionalism. They might be a little more expensive than some companies in town, but definitely worth it.

I joined paddle Nepal on two trips, first I came rafting on the Kaligandaki and had the trip of a life. I was introduced to the "way of the river" an amazing way to see the country. The Paddle Nepal gave me 100% confidence in my safety on the river. After three days of smiles, great weather and wholesome camp cooked food I was hooked. The following week I joined the crew on the kayak school expedition on the lower Seti, the easier whitewater and professional staff had me rolling and paddling rapids on my own in no time. Once again the scenery smiles, and great food did not stop. If your in Nepal, this is a must do!

Probably the best time I had in Nepal!

I went on a 3 day rafting & camping trip on the Kali Gandaki River with Paddle Nepal and it was sooooo good that I ended up booking another trip with them.
This time I did the 4 day Kayak Clinic. Lots of companies run this type of learn to kayak program, but I chose Paddle Nepal because their crew were extremely professional and they had lots of experience overseas. The owners and guides of this company are part of Nepal's National team and have competed in world championships around the world. Pretty cool to learn to kayak on a river in the middle of nowhere with a national champion.
Camping was beautiful, food was fantastic, guides were fun and extremely professional.
After the kayaking I met some awesome other travelers and we all decided to do another trip. Our guides suggested Canyoning which I had never heard of... Imagine throwing yourself off of a bunch of waterfalls and playing under rainbows for a day. AWESOME. We abseiled, jumped, slid and swam down about a dozen waterfalls and had and absolute riot of a time. A few bumps and bruises from this bizaar activity, but totally worth it.
I highly recommend Paddle Nepal for all three of this trips. In fact I hope to come back to Nepal some day to continue to learn to kayak with this group.
