Similar to Carnivore's in Nairobi, Joe's Beer House is a popular tourist spot where you can indulge in a game-meat-oriented evening meal (such as oryx, kudu, springbok, crocodile, zebra, eland) - with prolonged drinking until early in the morning. Sure, it's touristy, but there's a lot of fun to be had here, especially on a warm evening when you can kick back a few cold ones underneath a faux African hut. Reservations are recommended.

    if you like meat - one of the best places

    You get a variety of meat dishes and the plates are very big. I've been there twice and both times we were very happy with the food. price range is between 70-130 NAM-Dollars.

    Joes Beerhouse is one of those places you must visit if you go to Windhoek, It may not be the best meal you have ever had but the atmosphere and buzz of the place makes up for it, I went day time and evening and I felt day time was more fun, as you could see better!!, it is a very dark place at night, dining by candle light, your trust is left to the cook that you are actually eating what you ordered!, service is very friendly. The Sunday Buffet is recommended by me, lots to choose from and even something for the Veggies out there, all in all a place of character, go there and see!
