Lonely Planet review
Swakopmund's most established upmarket stand-by bills itself as 'luxury in the desert', and makes much of the fact that it has hosted the likes of Aristotle Onassis, Sir Laurens van der Post, Eartha Kitt, Oliver Reed and Ernest Borgnine. Individually decorated rooms are tasteful and elegant, the service is top-notch and its restaurant is arguably the best in town.
