Hello all

We are a well travelled family of four (boys age 16 and 12), who are going to Morocco this summer (july 2016). As part of the trip we are going to Imlil and want to climb Toubkal.
Have anybody done that with kids and is it possible? They are very fit, and have done trekking in Laos and Nepal. Can you tell anything about day and night temperature at Toubkal in july (regarding what clothes to bring)?

Thanks.
Gitte

Hello,

My wife, my daughter, and I are planning on coming to Morocco for the first time for sightseeing for a week (8 days). We will be arriving from Madrid. We can arrive between May 18th to May 21st. We will be leaving for Malaga, Spain after Morocco. We are not sure how to plan our itinerary in an optimized manner. We are interested in sightseeing-seeing, colorful architecture, palaces, medinas, Islamic art, etc. and some shopping. We are thinking of staying in Marrakesh, Fes, Tangier, or…

Thanks, Gerald

I am debating between a June trip to SE Asia or Morocco. I have a few follow up questions re: Ramadan.

  1. I know HOTELS often are able to serve food during Ramadan. What about guesthouses as opposed to 4 or 5 star hotels?

  2. I am an amateur photographer. From a photography standpoint, how is Ramadan like for taking pictures?

  3. Overall, how to the operating hours of historic sites change?

  4. I know there are negatives about travel in Ramadan. What about the…

Hi, Everyone,
Two couples are planning a Moroccan trip for one month, either fall or late winter. Need help with itinerary. We originally were thinking of hiring a car and driver but from what I have read it may make more sense to just rent a car and self drive. Opinions please as well as itinerary suggestions. Thank you. Carol

This thursday night I will go to Fez. I will spend there 3 days.
Can you recommend me a cheap hostel? If you know a cheap hostel with friendly people.
I will arrive at 22:00 in the airport. Do you know if it is possible to take the bus number 16 from the airport to the city?

Thanks for all!
Àngels

On the www site of Travel Exploration, they're talking of an argan cooperation that seems to be located between Telouet and Ait Benhaddou. Does anybody know the location and/or website of the "cooperative"?
Thanks, Meeuw

Hello guys ,
who did heard before about gnawa music festival , Prepare to lose yourself to the trance-like rhythm of the Gnaoua. See why half a million people visit this melting pot of world music. you know that in any activity more people means more fun , so if someone is interested about going there in a group of people let me know

Hi all,

How reliable are the travel times in Morocco, as shown by Google maps?

Are the following times reasonable, assuming normal weather- and traffic:

Imlil - Telouet 3:50 / 175 km;
Telouet - Skoura 2:18 / 119 km
Skoura - Erg Chebbi, 2:45 / 198 km
Erg Chebbi - Agdz 4:11 / 298 km
Agdz - Ouarzazate 1:24 / 74 km
Ait Benhaddou - Oumnass (Tameslouht) 3:53 / 208 km
Oumnass (Tameslouht) - Marrakesh RAK airport 0:28/25km

Thanks,
Meeuw

Hello everybody,
Does anyone know how to contact the mentioned auberge near Telouet? On Tripadv and Airbnb there are positive reviews until last summer, but over the past week they don't answer emails and the phone nr does not exist anymore.
Tx!
