Land
Bus
Rabat has two bus stations: the main bus station (gare routière; 037 795816), where most buses depart and arrive, and the less chaotic CTM bus station (037 281488). Both are about 5km southwest of the city centre on the road to Casablanca.
Air
Tiny Rabat-Salé Airport (tel: 037 808090/89), 10km northeast of town, only has direct flights to Paris with Royal Air Maroc (RAM; tel: 037 709766; www.royalairmaroc.com; Ave Mohammed V) and Air France (tel: 037 707066; www.airfrance.co.ma; 281 Ave Mohammed V).
Train
Rabat Ville train station (037 736060) is right in the centre of town. From here trains run every 30 minutes between 6am and 10.30pm to Casa-Port train stations (US$3.40). Second-class services also run daily to Fès (US$8, 3½ hours, eight daily) via Meknès (US$6.40, 2½ hours), Tangier (US$10, 4½ hours, seven daily) and Marrakesh (US$12, 4½ hours, eight daily).
