Lonely Planet review
This B&B, the holiday home of an English family who fell in love with this quiet corner of Morocco, sits on top of a high dune with glorious ocean views. It’s run by the Anglophile Mohammed, a family friend. There are just a few homey rooms (some with shared bathroom) where you can fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves, and breakfast is served on the terrace. It is possible to order dinner in advance – ask for the fish. Villanora is at the far northern end of town, about 2km from the main street and it’s essential to book in advance. Mohammed can also organise boat trips on the lake. The family has also just opened Farm Nora, the only accommodation on the nearby lake Merja Bargha. It’s perfect for birdwatching.
Our independent authors have visited Villanora and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Moulay Bousselham.
