Hi there,

I'll be backpacking through Morocco with my partner. We've already travelled through some Middle Eastern countries and we can keep a low profile so we are not concerned about being a same-sex couple, I only have one specific question. After two weeks staying at low-budget accommodations, we plan to spend the last 3-4 nights in Fes at a more comfortable place. We found a hotel room for a really attractive price but they seemengly have only double rooms and no twin rooms left. Would…

Planning to spend a couple of nights in a riad while exploring the city then want to ideally do a camel trek leaving on a Sunday (is this definitely possible?). And then returning to stay in a fancier place for more exploring/cooling by a pool in the afternoon.

What do people normally do when doing a camel trek? Do they book one accomodation for the whole week and leave bags etc/or does my plan sound okay?

Is it better to pre-book a tour before or will I be guaranteed to find one leaving on a…

week plan

Hello,

I am planning a trip to Morocco with my friend at the end of October for 7-8 days.

We will probably fly in to Marrakesh and spend 2 days there. We then want to travel to the Atlas mountains and explore the villages there. Then perhaps on to Aït Ben Haddou/ Ouarzazate. We would like to see a desert oasis if possible. We don't know if we will have time to travel on to Merzouga to see the dunes.

We don't know if we should fly out of Marrakesh or Fes. I think the distance from merzouga to…

Hi,

Next week I'll be in transit in Casablanca.
Need help to have some contacts from a private taxi to show me around town during my 5 and half hour stop-over.

How much it should cost for this hiring?

Thanks a lot and great trips to everybody,
LP

weve been looking to book a 3-day safari from marrakesh to fes (includes 1 night in the desert & camel trekking) and have been quoted approx $400euros per person (i think this is about 4000diarhms) - it was about the same price from both tenere & morocco explored. they are private tours (there are 2 of us) - they say they dont do groups.

ive seen other people say theyve paid around $150euros per person (but that was about 3 years ago)

have prices gone up a lot, is it possible to be part of a…

Hi

Hope to spend a couple of weeks in Northern Morocco in Sept this year. As part of this trip my partner and I would like to investigate the option to do some trekking. I know about the Rif mountains and the Kif connections but I am wondering if there was anywhere else where I can avoid all the hassle with hash to go trekking/hiking. We did 12 days 3 years ago in the High Atlas and ha da fab time, hired cook, mules etc. We will probably take the ferry from Malaga to Tangier and back, then…

Hi guys,

just came back from a 3.5 weeks bachpacking trip to Morocco. Started in Marrakech, took the Supratours bus to Boumalne de Dades. A lot of road construction on the road crossing the Atlas mountain. Stayed in the center of Boumalne in Tamazirte Guesthouse for just 70 DH inkl. bathroom. Maybe got some bedbug bites there but not sure. Boumalne is a good base for trips into the Dades gorge. One day I took the minibus to Memsrir market. On the way back I stopped for some sightsseing at the…
