Myself and my girlfriend wish to go to Morocco for 8 days and don't know how best to split up the trip.
We definitely want to do 3 days in Marrakesh then are unsure whether to do 4-5 in the Atlas or 2 days in Atlas and 2-3 days in Essouaria.
we would rather spend less time on the road and have a most romantic trip with good opportunities to relax, massage and great scenery...although happy to hike in the Atlas Mts
any recommendations on what best to do - please advise?
How to travel around?
For a Belgian television program we are reliving the journey of a 16th century adventurer in Morocco. The journey is the following:
Sebta - Tetouan - Chefchaouen - Bab Taza - Fes el Bali - Ourtzah - Fes.
I was wondering if it is possible to do this route by foot. Are the roads safe? Is there a lot of traffic? Can it be done without a guide? ...
Any informations, tips and advice is welcome!
My husband is 79 and we want to rent a car in Marrakesh.
Has anyone experience with renting a car by someone above 75?
I contacted Budget and Keddy.
They have no cars available and both charge extra for above 65 (Keddy) or 75 (Budget) but both have NO cars anymore.

we are planning a short trip in november (5d/4n), and are considering a quick visit of Morocco. Coming from Belgium, we can fly into Fez, Marrakech or Agadir (and some other cities). Our first thought was a citytrip to either Marrakech or Fez, but actually, we are not really city-people, and prefer the outdoors and more remote location. So we would spend 1 or 2 night in the city, but would prefer a nice outdoor location for the remaining 3 (or 2) nights. We like to take some walks, and stay…
Hello! My husband, 5-year-old daughter and I will be traveling to Fes for 2 weeks in December/January and would like to go on a desert camping trip for 3-5 days. Can anyone recommend a reputable company to book with?
My husband and I are going to Morocco for our honeymoon in mid-September and will be there for 3.5 weeks. We're flying in and out of Marrakesh and will be renting a car. I'd love any thoughts / suggestions on our itinerary! I've included driving times based on google maps, so not sure how accurate these are. Does this plan seem doable? Or is this too much driving / too fast a pace? Is there anything in particular we should cut to save time? Or add because it's awesome? Thank you!
I'm going to be in Morocco with the missus, from mid-September to mid-October. Does anyone have an idea on when the Erfoud Date Feast would take place? I'm guessing the answer is "when the harvest is ready," which likely fluctuates... Still, any insider information would be great. Thanks!
There are some mountains and cave paintings near Awsard I'd really love to see.
I have no experience beyond the coastal highway. A kid I met in Layyoune told me "some day you should come with me to visit my family behind the Berm" as if it were the easiest thing in the world. Maybe accompanied by a local it would be easy.
Will the roadblocks let tourists (American) into the interior in the first place? And what about places like Awsard which are just military/Peace Corps bases? And finally, what…
