We're in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Morocco. We're avid adventurers from British Columbia, Canada and would like to mountain bike but would like to try to do it without paying for the high costs of a tour company.
Are there trails /routes/ independant guides that we could use to reduce costs? Single track /roads?
Would it be more cost effective to bring our bikes with us or rent from there?
Any suggestions are welcome
Hey! We will be visiting Morocco for seven full days in January. Our plane lands in Marrakech. We would also like to go to the Erg Chebbi dunes (Or somewhere closer, our goal is to go on a one night desert journey). Also we would like to take a day trip or a one night trip to somewhere close to Marrakech. We were thinking about Imlil or Ourika valley. We would not want the trip to be too much of a hussle. Would the weather in the end of January be good for the desert? And is going to Merzouga…

Would anyone have first hand knowledge of the climbing conditions on Toubkal? I'm in So Spain at the moment thinking of popping over to Morocco for a week or so. Would like to try for an ascent of the mt. if the weather and conditions are good.
Hey all! So I'm planning a 10-day trip to Morocco likely April 24-May 5 and I had insomnia last night trying to figure out how the hell to get to/from Chefchaouen. We'll be flying from London and I really like this itinerary: http://leaveyourdailyhell.com/10-days-in-morocco/
But there's no indication how to get to this beautiful little city. I spent hours pouring through various websites trying to figure this out and I understand there seems to be some combinations of trains and buses but I'm…
It´s my 10th trip to Morocco, but I still have doubts and trust Thorn Tree´s participants.
I´ll be soon in Agadir, and then I travel to Tafraoute.
I wonder what the best way to get from Agadir to Tafraoute.
Is it possible to stop for a bit at Tissergane and move on to Tafraoute?
I´d like to stay in an Agadir hotel/hostal not from that unknown place where public transport in whatever way sets off to Tafraoute. Any tips?
Can I go from…

I'm currently in Southern Spain thinking of a short trip to Tangier from Algeciras but I'm confused as to how to get from the new port to Tangier. I've read there are buses (no longer free with ferry ticket?), trains, and petit taxis whatever those are. What's the most economical way to get from the new port to the medina if that's where I'm staying?
We are very excited to be traveling in Morocco in about a week! After several iterations, here's our tentative itinerary.
1) I was wondering if you have any feedback, particularly if the bus to desert part looks feasible timing-wise.
2) Will we need a car in order to find Barbary macaques and good hikes in Azrou/Ifrane?
3) We're still on the fence about whether to rent a one-way car Fez to Marrakesh for the trip between these cities (i.e. would pick up right before leaving Fez…
