Hi all,

I've checked through some of the threads here and couldn't see anything specifically on this. I've been to Morocco twice in the last couple of years, and haven't got the night train before but remember some of the bus services selling out so you need to buy them a day ahead etc.

I'm arriving in Marrakech form London on the 10th October and we'll be heading up to Tangier on the night train hopefully. If we arrive around midday to the station how likely is it that tickets will have sold…

Greetings! My wife and two daughters are making a last minute decision to travel to Morocco. I thought we would go to Marakesh with day trips to the High Atlas Mountains and an overnight desert tour. My wife, however, really wants to see Chefcaouen. In light of that, would it be possible to visit Chefcaouen and Fez only? We will have seven days, arriving/departing from Casablanca.

I've seen a couple of posters who know so much about Morocco so would appreciate insight into whether we would…

Hello im new to this forum. I have a few questions about the airport immigration officers in morocco . I plan on arriving at Casablanca but want to take a taxi to other parts of morocco and tours . Do the immigration officers at the airport want to know how many days i will spend at a hotel ? Do they take your passport? Do they only need the number and address of the hotel? I dont want to waste too much money on the nights I spend at the hotel(im on a tight budget)

Hi there - I am scheduling an 11 day Morocco honeymoon mid October.
I have spent a decent amount of time researching this forum.
The (self drive) trip would be as follows.
Marrakech (2 days)
Marrakech to Taroudant by TizinTest pass (1 day)
Taroudant (1 day)
Taroudant to Tafraoute through Irhrem (1 day)
Tafraoute and Ameln valley (3 days)
Amlen to Sidi Ifni through Tiznit (1 day)
Sidi Ifni (1 day)
Sidi Ifni to Agadir (1 day)

Do you think this is doable? I might need to drop Marrakech to be able to spend…

I am taking the train from Fez to Marrakesh. Since it's a 8 hours journey, I am considering taking the 2:30a overnight train to maximize time. I plan to buy 1st class tickets. Has anyone done this? I'm wondering:

1) Will I have problem getting a taxi to the train station after midnight? (I will ask my raid this as well.)
2) Is the train station at Fez safe to wait around after midnight before I board?
3) If I have check-in size luggage, can I keep that in my compartment or do I have to store it…

I'm tentatively looking at driving to Cote d'Ivoire from southern France from late December via:

Morocco
Mauritania
Mali (probably but with just two days on the road and one night in Bamako dependent on the situation)
Cote d'Ivoire

I'll have 7 seats and looking for passengers for part of the journey or the whole trip. Costs will be split, I've done the majority of this route by bush taxi etc and now looking to drive down.

If anyone's keen to join me, do leave a message here or via PM

Kira

Dear Morocco enthusiasts and fellow travellers,

There's been some great posts on Morocco and some really great contributors, so I'm almost feeling a bit guilty about this post in case it seems like what's already been asked and answered. So please bear with me.

I'll be traveling in Morocco for 14 days (Sept/Oct), and have put together the itinerary below. It does feel like I may have packed too much in, so it'll be great to hear from some of you who've done a similar route if that's in fact…

Hi. I am arriving at the Casablanca airport on Oct. 8th and won't be out of the airport until around 2:00 a.m. I do not plan on staying in Casablanca and want to make my way to Marrakesh as my first stop. I realize that the I need to get to the Casa Voyaguer to take the train to Marrakesh and that it won't be running at that time of night. I really don't feel like arguing with a cab driver and also taking the time to get into the city so I thought I would just get a hotel near the airport, get…

Hi,

I'm visiting Morocco in October and will be staying alone for about 7 days. I'll be starting as part of a group in Marrakesh, then on my own. How safe is it to travel from Marrakesh to Fes solo? What are the best options...train, bus or plane? Thank you!!
