I would like to cross from Spain (Algeciras) to Morrocco, arriving by ferry at Tanger Med.
Is there a bus station or any other kind of public transport to continue to TETOUAN without
having to go to Tangier?
Thanks for your help!

Hello everyone! I'm planning a solo backpacking trip to Morocco this September for a couple of weeks, and I am interested in camel trekking from Marrakesh to Fes for either 3 days/2 nights or 4 days/3nights between 9/9 and 9/12. Would anyone be interested in joining me for this trip across the desert? :) I'm still looking around for a camel trekking tour that is budget-friendly, but obviously the more people in a group, the cheaper it will be. If anyone would like to join me, or if anyone has…

Does anyone fancy joining me on the Jebel Sirwa Ascent and Circuit in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco, later this year?

Friday 23 September: Enjoy a gentle introduction to your trek by walking from Taliwine along the banks of the Oued Zagmouzen, passing by a succession of small villages, to reach Akhfamane (1250m) where we will camp for the night. 4 hours walking, approximately.

Saturday 24 September: Walk from Akhfamane to Ti n’Iddr (1684m) by following a trail that leads further up valley…

I am reading that the summer is high season in Morocco. Given the heat, I am curious why. Wouldn't winter be the primary season for tourism?

How crowded with tourists is Morocco when you are in the main areas of interest to tourists? Is any area in the country in the low season?

My wife and I are planning to spend 16 days in Morocco in late November, early December. Here is a plan I am thinking of - I'd appreciate and and all input ideas on places to visit, cool hotels, how to transport ourselves, etc:

-Arrive in Tangier, spend a couple of days (Including day trip to Chefchaouen)
-Move on to Fez (via train??), spend a couple of days (including possible day trips to Volubilis and Meknes)
-Travel down to Erg Chebbi (Should we rent a 4 X 4?? If…

Got another question for you. I only have two weeks for a trip, which will be at the end of August. Right now, it is probably between Cambodia or Morocco, in part depending on where my frequent flier miles can get me :) If I go to Morocco, I know I want to see Fez, Marrakech and Chefchaoen. I am trying to determine where else to go.

My options to seem to be this:

  1. go very, very slow in these three areas and also see Meknes
2 travel Marrakech to Fez via the Skoura Oasis (N10) stopping at…

I might see Morocco in Aug. I am thinking after Marrakech to see the Atlas mtns or do a camel trip in the desert (i know it will be hot). For the towns in the Atlas and other Berber towns, is it generally suggested to take a tour or do it independently. I like photography, so I like to take my time in some areas and like flexibility of doing it on my own, but transport issues seem to suggest traveling with a tour is easier. Anyone can comment on pros and cons of each.

Also, the 4 day camel…

Hi There,

I'm looking to hire a 2 seater van with space in the back (ideally a VW Van) or even a small camper with space to set up a small office in the back. I don't want a huge camper van as no one will be sleeping in the van, it is for the purpose of creating a little studio/office in the back that has space for a few laptops/monitors.

If anyone knows of any hire companies that do vehicles which fit this description I would be v grateful if they could comment with details.

All the best,

M…

My friends and I will be in Marrakech next week. One of them is celebrating a birthday and he loves tacos. I'd love to find a mexican restaurant to take him to. Any chance of finding real tacos anywhere in the city? The only place I could find through googling was O'tacos, but they didn't look too authentic. We are staying in the Medina nearish Jemaa el Fnaa, so close by would be good, but a cab ride is okay too.

And before someone says it, yes, I understand we are in Morocco but we have a…
