Lonely Planet review
Right on the main square, this lovely old place has had a sumptuous modern makeover with extremely elegant furnishings. We love the fluffy pillows and swirly marble bathrooms, and the balcony facing the square is more Eva Peron than Juliet.
Early morning, look out of your window and if the staff have set tablecloths and seat cushions on the outside cafe tables and chairs, then you know it'll be a fine day. Room prices include breakfast and the cafe is a prime place to watch the world go by and soak up Kotor's historic ambience. The only disadvantage of being this central is the music from the booming sound systems that reverberate around the old town's squares on summer nights. Despite the general swankiness of the accommodation, you will need earplugs. A big plus is you don't have to lug your bags far into the pedestrian-only old town.
