Hi, I am planning a one-week family trip to Montenegro in late September. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations of trusted local tour operators that can offer a multi-day private tour around the country (including overnight stays near Durmitor and Biogradska Gora National Parks)?
I would appreciate your advice. Thank you.
We would like to go rafting in Scepan Polje and drive to Mostar afterwards. Which road should we take, and what kind of road is it (good condition, scenic or not?)?
Is it feasible to still drive after the rafting tour to Mostar, say leave around 4-5PM?
Trying to figure out if it works this way or whether we should stay another night in Scepan Polje and drive the next day.
I plan to travel from Kotor to Prizren and know that there's only a bus starts at 0745 travel between Podgorica and Prizren. If I need to catch up this bus, there are 2 options for me which is waking up very early to catch the bus (5:30am) from Kotor to Prizren or spend 1 night at Podgorica.
If I need to catch up the early bus, just wonder if there's any cheap accomodations near the bus station of Kotor and Podgorica?
Hi travellers !
I'm currently making a trip across the Balkans, and I plan to reach Podgorica next week.
After than i've got to go to Ohrid. I saw there is bus compagnies making this journey but I don't have valid travelling documents to cross the Kosovo border.
Do you know if there is a option to go by bus from Podgorica to Ohrid (or Skopje, if any), passing through albania for exemple ?
Thanks for your attention !
My wife and I share a flat in Montenegro, and go there usually once a year. Now we have a dog, and I'm looking for advice on dog-friendly beaches or parks. We've explored many beaches, but getting information on pet-friendly places has been trying.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
I did a bit of research for our two week trip to Montenegro (end of august/beginning of september) and I came to the following itinerary. Any tips on things I should add/remove?
We thought about renting an appartment near Kotor for the first 6 days to start off easy and then move around each day to end in Dubrovnik for a night or 3 (2 days, incl. one beach day).
We are a young couple (28) and we love a good mix of towns, nature and a beach day or 2/3.
Day 1 - Kotor
Day 2 - Cevinje
Day 3 -…
My wife and I travel to Montenegro yearly from Germany, and we usually fly into Dubrovnik, and rent a car with allowance to cross the border into ME. Now we have a dog, and we decided to start driving to Montenegro instead.
In my searches so far, I can't find a rental company that will allow one to rent a car in Germany and drive into Montenegro. Does anyone know of a Car rental firm that will allow these conditions?
And does anyone know about bringing a pet into and out of…
I am hoping to travel from Budva to Skopje on Friday, September 16th, but so far my research tells me that there are only busses going on the Thursday or Saturday. I'm hoping the sas.com.mk option may be going on a Friday but the website seems to only give timetables from Skopje to other destinations.
Can anyone advise if there are busses operating from Budva to Skopje on Fridays? And if so, is it possible to reserve in advance? Thank you!
Hello, my friend and I are going to Budva for 5 days and we aren't sure where to stay between Mogren or Slovenska Plaza? We are in our late 20's , want to be on the beach most of the day, and want to stay somewhere close to an active restaurant, pub, cafe scene. Or should we look into Kotor? Just trying to get an understanding of the difference between the 3.
Me and my girlfriend are visiting Prokletije mountains in August and we would like to know, if there is possibility of buying hiking map of Prokletije mountains in Plav or even better in Gusinje.
Also I heard that in order to go through Prokletije mountains to Albania every tourist must have special permit in order to cross border. Is it true? If so, how long does it take to obtain such a permit and what is the cost?
I will appreciate all help because I'm going to Montenegro for the first…
