I am going to Greece with my girlfriend. I have more time than she does so I plan on flying to the Balkan 2 weeks earlier, around May 23rd, and then traveling by land to meet her in Athens. I bought the LP Southern Europe book, though it is not as informative as I would like about bus times. I like to play it by ear when traveling and I find bus more flexible than train. From the LP it looks like I might not need bus reservations since it will not be the peak season. I was looking for…
I'm looking at possible transport options from Tivat airport to Budva in July. I found a private taxi company that would charge 15 euros for the trip (which is pretty reasonable), just wondering if there are regular buses that leave from the airport or nearby to Budva. Any info is greatly appreciated!
We'll arrive Podgorica on a saturday evening around 20:00 (June). Are supermarkets open after that? Are they open on sunday mornings (we need some breakfast and pickninc lunch).
General info will help, but if someone can suggest a supermarket near Explorer hostel podgorica (near railway station), that would save our day!
Alright, after hours and hours of extensive searching for information about buses in Montenegro, I'm about to give up. This is my last resort.
Is there anyone who knows if there is a bus going from Mojkovac to Zabljak on July 22, 2016, so my girlfriend and I can have the opportunity to explore the Durmitor National Park and do some rafting on the Tara river?
We will arrive from the Podgorica train to Mojkovac, so if it's more convenient to get to Bijelo Polje and then catch a bus to Zabljak…
Traveling alone to Dubrovnik in the second week of May and planning for a day trip down to Montenegro, Kotor and possibly Perast. May I know any reliable bus companies and how do I go about purchasing a ticket (from the bus driver/ticket office/etc)? I've read about a few but mostly they were from 4 - 6 years ago. Please do share your personal experience too.
Next month I have 10 days to get form Dubrovnik to Skopje, late April. The plan is 1 night Dubrovnik and then down to Kotor and from there no real itinerary. We like old cities, villages, a bit of light trekking and biking (nothing extreme but a good 5 hour hike or two would be nice). Scenery & good food are a plus. We were hoping maybe to make our way to Pristina and then to Skopje but maybe through Albania is better?
We'd love any recommendations you all have for an itinerary and what not to…
Hi everyone....I am planning to arrive in Bar via ferry from Italy early in the morning on June 9th. My hope is to spend that day (I know only one day is tough) renting a car to tour Montenegro and then staying the night before heading to Dubrovnik the next morning. A few questions....
1) Best place to stay overnight? - It seems like Kotor or Budva would be a good option?
2) Transportation from Bar? I haven't found much in terms of transportation from Bar elsewhere...looks like buses every 2…
we will be in Durmitor national park in July. We have three kids (ages 5, 3 and 1), and will be there for two full days (three nights). I think we could spend one day hiking around the lake, is this doable for a 5 year-old? The other ones we can carry on our back where necessary.
Any tips on how to spend the second day? If it was just us, I don't think we would have trouble filling an entire week, but with the kids, it is more difficult :-)
If you have any recommendations for cabin-like…
Does anyone know which of the many bus companies operating between these two towns will take bicycles? In May, we are hoping to take a late afternoon bus to Cetinje with our bicycles, .
