Run by a friendly Syrian chap named Ishmael, this small restaurant serves up simple Middle Eastern cuisine, including donor kebabs, plov (pilaf), lavash (flat bread) and Arabic coffee. It’s also possibly the only place in UB where you can puff on a shisha (water pipe). The entire place is covered in plastic green foliage, as Ishmael likes to say, ‘Even in winter, its summer in my cafe’.
