Lonely Planet review for Hazara

This North Indian restaurant has been serving up delectable dishes for more than a decade, always with the same winning menu and colourful décor. Each table is covered by a colourful samiyan (Rajasthani tent), so it's easy to escape to India for an hour or two while you dine on excellent murgh makhni, naan basket and saffron rice. In terms of pure taste, quality of service, freshness of food and consistency, this is arguably the best restaurant in town. Hazara is located behind the Wrestling Palace.

    This is the palce to get excellent food and good service!

    We come here quite often and the food is always fresh and delicious. I can even bring my dog - this is usually not accepted in Mongolia.

    Once, there was a power outage but they we still able to cook most dishes and we ate at candlelight - that was very nice.

    THIS IS A VERY GOOD RESTAURANT!

    The BEST restaurant in Ulaanbaatar

    The Lonely Planet review says that this is "arguably the best restaurant in town."
    Where does that adverb come from? Everyone I know asserts without hesitation, regardless of their nationality, that Hazara is the very best restaurant in town. In addition to the butter chicken, the tandoori grills and the eggplant are also excellent. A personal favorite is the garlic naan. Interestingly, the orders for take-out are somewhat larger than the amount of food you receive if you dine in the restaurant. But, don't worry, you will not go hungry! The portions are large, and the quality is reliable and consistent.
