Dears Traveller in 15 days I'll be travelling in Moldova with my wife and 2yo daughter;
since from Chisinau I'd like to visit Tiraspol by train.
I've read there's just 1 train per day (the one to odessa) leaving at 7.20 am from Chisinau.
- Arent' there other trains during the day?
- What about trains from Chisinau to Bender?
in few weeks with my 2yo daughter and wife we'll be:
- landing in chisinau (gettin Moldova entry stamp)
- reaching tiraspol (staying for 2 days)
- carrying on to Ukraina (Odessa)by train (no Moldova exit stamp)
- gettin back to Chisinau by train from Odessa (No Moldova entry stamp)
- flying bck to Italy from CHisinau (Moldova exit stamp)
so at Chisinau airport at my departure it'll appear I've a regular entry stamp;
has anyone experience or is aware about possibile complaining of the…
Arriving at Tiraspol in a Sunday afternoon and leaving Moldova through Chisinau's airport Friday early morning (so 5 days later) I'm concerned about the best way to get a Moldovian entry stamp in my passport.
I read that we have 3 days to get this stamp at the police office in Chisinau after having entered in Pridnestrovie through the Ukrainian border but is there any other way? I will stay almost 5 days in Tiraspol and don't pretend to go to Chisinau just to get this stamp.
It would be…
Moldova is a worthwhile destination for travellers wishing to visit a European country beyond cobbled stoned cities, cheese shops and castles. Here are some photographs and refreshed views on visiting the a Republic of Moldova www.kerkboonleng.com/2014/10/26/Moldova/
Simple question, is it possible to exchange English currency in Transnistria? I will be based in Tiraspol so even if it meant I had to visit the central bank that would be fine.
Hi all, I'm planning a trip to Bulgaria/Romania/Moldova, likely starting in Sofia or Bucharest. I wanted to check if anyone knew of restrictions that would prevent me from hiring a car in Bulgaria or Romania and driving it into Moldova.
Any information would be highly appreciated,
I'm going to stay in Chisinau probably for 3 months. I don't want to stay in a hotel, that's too expensive.
How can I quickly find an inexpensive small, basic furnished apartment suitable for one person?
I can only rent it for 3 months because I'm only allowed to stay in Moldova for 3 months. I understand that you can't exit the country and re-enter and get another 3 months so I can only stay 3 months. Where would I look for such an apartment? Newspaper? Real estate agent?
Also, I don't…
I want to visit Moldova and Transnistria during late August. I have a rather tight schedule, being on a trip through Eastern Europe, and plan on leaving Bucharest on the 18th of August, staying in Chisinau from the 18th to the 20th, then in Tiraspol from the 20th to the 22nd, then leaving Tiraspol and heading south, either to Constanta or onwards to Bulgaria. I have to be in Istanbul no later than the 26th, so I am kinda in a rush. I do feel I don't have enough time to fully experience these…
Coming back from Transdniestr today, sharing my experience.
First of all, don't belief all this stories, that due the ucraine-conflict the border is closed for all foreigners. Is not true.
I recommend to take the train - in my mind the easiest way to enter the country. There is a usefull daily train Kishinew-Odessa-Kishinew. I took this train from Odessa to Tiraspol. The border police of transdniestr does not come on board. Passport checking is in the railway station - so I guess if you stay…
