In Chisinau right now for few days. Chilly and bright. Planning on a day trip to Tirasapol and want to confirm a few things. I saw a mashrtuka outside the train station with tirasapol on it so I guess I can get one from there. Anyone know the price? And of course there is the issue of making sure I get off the bus to get my tourist card so I do not get harrassed coming back. Any tips on making sure I get this?
I entered "Transnistria" from Odessa by bus on Friday at about 3PM., travelling onto Moldova proper that night (arrival 10PM) on the train.
I want to leave Moldova on this Monday, with my bus leaving at 12:20PM. I am leaving through Palanca border to Ukraine, by bus.
Old question - will it be a problem that I do not have an entry stamp for Moldova in my passport upon leaving?
I will not be staying in Moldova for 72 hours. Do I still need to register? What should I bring for…
There are conflicting reports on the forum (& elsewhere) around the length of time you can stay in Transnistria without having to register. Can someone clarify if the limit is 10 hours or 24 hours? Also, if I book a mid-range hotel, will the hotel take care of the registration for me? Thanks!
Hello! Despite having read much of this forum, I am still a bit confused about the rules. I wanted to go from Odessa by train to Tiraspol on a Thursday (16:48 - 19:26 from what I see on the internet), stay the night in Tiraspol, then go on to Chisinau on Friday (17:04 - 19:33 train). Then I will leave Chisinau Monday morning. Soo...
1) Am I staying in Tiraspol for more than 24 hours/do I need to register?
2) How can I register for a Moldovan entry stamp in Chisinau? Will the office be open on…
this summer i would like to enter Moldova from Romania after which i want to travel to Transnistria from where i want to enter Ukraine. After visiting Ukraine i would like to go back to Romania and thus want to enter Moldova again in the south (so i have an entry stamp of Moldova but nog exit stamp due to entering Ukraine from Transnistria). Does anyone have experience with this or is it better to go from Ukraine first back to Transnistria and from there through Moldova to Romania?
Hi all, i am planning on 8 days in October in the area and am hoping to go from Chisinau to Lviv. any suggestions on the best way to do this. seem best to go into Ukraine and then go north. Suggestions please?
Hi everyone! I am looking for a way to get from Giurgiulesti to Chisinau. I'll be cycling in the north-east of Romania and I might need to save some time in Moldova by not cycling (I need to get back to London for a wedding!). Are taxis reliable? How expensive might be transporting a bicycle in a taxi? Thanks!
After having been in Transdniestria, and having the Moldovan entry stamp in your passport, but not the exit stamp, it is not possible to enter Moldova another time with the same passport, is it?
The answer is probably, that it is not possible, or at least strongly not advised to even try to enter Moldova a second time. If anyone has any experience with this, I would be happy to hear about it, though.
What would be an interesting route from Soroca to Bucharest?
I'm in Camenca, Transnistria, now and will arrive in Soroca later today using public transport and/or hitchhiking.
Mostly interested in atmospheric towns and scenic landscapes.
My flight home departs Bucharest airport May 20th.
I would like to do a daytrip or possibly one overnight stay in Transnistria and then the capital Tiraspol.
Can someone tell me if this can be done by train from Odessa (Ukraine) and if so what is the timetable and if it is easy to do a daytrip?
