    Great cheesecakes with creative flavors and other goodies!!!

    I am an admitted cheesecake junkie. When we saw this small corner store while in Merida, we had to check it out. There is an almost overwhelming selection to choose from, which varies daily. Some of the flavors on our visit included lemon-lime meringue, chocolate fudge iced chocolate, plain, caramel, and strawberry. We sampled the first two and both were superb. The texture was incredible and the fudge icing was amazing. Other baked goods are also available. My daughter had a brownie which we all tasted and agreed to be one of the best we had ever tried. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the prices cannot be beat. There are photographs of past desserts and delivery is offered as well. The location is very convenient in historical downtown Merida. Don't miss this one!!

    Pretty good cheesecake

    We are staying near the Casa del Cheesecake in Merida (too close maybe!) and I have had some cheesecake from there. It is good. But I will say it is not as sweet as cheesecake I am accustomed to in Canada or America. And the chocolate cheesecake I had was just plain cheesecake with some chocolate frosting on it. The base is different too. Texture is fantastic though. All in all, a good cheesecake, but not as sweet. My husband thinks the young lady who works there is a knockout. Not sure if that adds to the attraction or not!
