Light floods the cathedral from the dome windows of this would-be relic on the east side of Plaza Principal. It has been rebuilt several times since the Spanish first erected a cathedral here in 1527, most recently after the 1941 earthquake, so it’s too new to offer old-world soul, but it remains a focal point of the community.
