Getting there & away

Once you get to Chapala’s bus terminal, it’s a 10-minute walk down Av Madero to the pier. There are long-distance services to Puerto Vallarta (M$425) and Mexico City ($490), but to anywhere else you’ll have to return to Guadalajara.

Buses connect Chapala and Ajijic every 20 minutes (M$8, 15 minutes).
