Lonely Planet review for El Caldero
Simple, friendly little El Caldero specializes in delicious, filling Mexican soups – pozole (shredded pork in broth), mondongo (tripe), caldo (broth) – with avocados, tortillas and various salsas. Great for an authentic and inexpensive local meal.

Mediocre but economical soups
latiagringa does not recommend this,
This is good for a cheap meal when you want soup - it is nothings special. The tortillas should be hand made that go in the soup so they don't go mushy, but they're not. Not bad. Just OK.
