Seafood aficionados flock to this joint for fish and chips, garlic shrimp, whole red snapper and great slabs of mahi mahi. Large groups are graciously accommodated on the pleasant rooftop terrace. The service is jovial and quick, and the music classic rock.

    Great food, drinks and service

    We have been going to joe's since they opened and always enjoyed ourselves.
    Okay, sometimes it is crowded but who's in a hurry in PV?
    Very good fish and chips. Tuna Poke was VERY good, in fact we are going back tonight. Mojitos are fantastic. Don't miss this place.

    Joe Jack's Fish Shack is settled in one of the busiest streets (Basilio Badillo) in Old Puerto Vallarta, great music, great rooftop patio, great service and most importantly GREAT, FRESH FOOD.
    They have all you can eat fish and chips for $150 every Friday and 2x1 fresh mojitos everyday from noon till 5. Yes, $75 pesos sounds like too much compared to 1 dollar beer at other bars, but really "no, you won't feel bloated and yes, you will feel tipsy".
    I gotta say that if you and your companion(s) happen to have the same craving for grilled fish do not hesitate to get a snapper to share ($250-$450 depending on weight). You won't regret the healthy but tasty choice :)

    use joe's as the yardstick for the rest of your dining experiences in PV.
    there are cheaper places, there are more expensive places (most sit down places actually), but no where has fresher/better food. (fish, or otherwise).
    the drinks are made with REAL FRESH FRUIT. stop, think about that. you get what you pay for. now think about the fact that lots of them are half price during the day and realize that sometimes you get twice as much as what you pay for.
