Lonely Planet review
Catering primarily to package tour groups, this venerable 160-room hotel is showing its age but still offers reasonably priced rooms given its beachside location. The superior rooms are less faded than the standard ones; book ahead for one with an ocean view.
Our independent authors have visited Hotel Tropicana and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Puerto Vallarta.
