Punta Placer

Punta Placer's eight beautiful rooms, in four circular structures under conical, palm-thatch roofs, have a wonderfully fresh, open-air feel thanks to their breezy terraces and screens of wooden slats for windows.

The beach is right outside and the buildings are constructed with attractive local wood and stone. They're comfortably and stylishly kitted out with good beds, mosquito nets and hammocks, glass washing basins and neat natural touches like the stone-lined showers (with excellent water pressure!). Everything is set around a garden of native plants and stone paving. Punta Placer is also a home base for Coco Loco Surf Club (www.cocolocosurfclub.com) which rents out surf boards, boogie boards and snorkel gear, and offers surfing classes with a qualified instructor.
