    Creative, gifted teachers will make you part of the family.

    My husband and I first went to Español Interactivo for two weeks in 2005. Based largely on that experience and the home stay which the school arranged, we chose to spend a year abroad in Oaxaca studying at Español Interactivo. We have returned to Oaxaca to live and study at Español Interactivo every year since. Whenever we return, we encounter other returning students. Most, like us, have tried other language schools but found them to be boring compared with Español Interactivo and the lively, creative, and intense experience of Spanish that it offers. Somehow the teachers manage to have real conversation even with beginners. They incorporate grammar, idioms, etc. into conversation, games, songs, and strolls around the zocalo--the central square--which is a block away from the school. They meet the needs of everyone from beginners and children to the most advanced students, like a court translator. And they will adjust to whatever schedule you want. The director and teachers will help you with whatever you need, and they will likely become your good friends. In addition, they are great guides for excursions and great cooks who will teach you how to make local specialties. And the school is a pleasant place to study with a lovely courtyard and decorations by local craftspeople. We can't say enough to do justice to this wonderful school and its teachers.
