    Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco

    In 2007 the Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco was inaugurated to commemorate and document the events that occurred. A component of the UNAM, it contains two interesting permanent exhibits. The Colección Andrés Blaisten comprises the largest privately owned collection of Mexican 20th-century art, with paintings, prints and sculptures by both obscure and famed artists such as María Izquierdo and Juan Soriano. The Memorial del 68 chronicles and commemorates the tragedy.

    Centro Cultural del México Contemporáneo

    Flanking the Iglesia de Santo Domingo’s west wall is the Centro Cultural del México Contemporáneo, formerly a Dominican convent in the late 16th century. Today a modern cultural center occupies the property. A dozen tall palms rise to the courtyard’s ceiling.

    Centro Cultural Jesús Reyes Heroles

    The Centro Cultural Jesús Reyes Heroles is a colonial estate hosting book presentations, dance classes and so on. Take a wander round the grounds, where yuccas and jacarandas spring from carefully tended gardens.
