Possibly the capital’s premier hangover- recovery spot – witness the line down the street on Saturday mornings – this humble eatery under a tin roof whips up batches of comfort food for the day ahead. Soulful fare like pork back in chile salsa verde is doled out of giant clay dishes. The fonda is beside Plaza Tlacoquemécatl, six blocks east of Avenida Insurgentes.

    the greatest real mexican food place

    atrosh recommends this,

    one of the best places to eat a real mexican food at least in mexico city. i´m mexican and i can recommend this place for its look, its style and specially its taste. If you like mexican food you have to try it. ONLY CASH.

    I saw this place on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations". So the next time I was in Mexico City I gave it a try. The huevos refritos are out of this world! You'll definitely want to get here early. By 11:00 am they are running out of food!
