Lonely Planet review
The Quaker-run Casa is a guesthouse popular with NGO workers, activists and researchers, but it welcomes walk-in travelers. Vegetarian breakfast (M$30) is served and guests can take free weekly Spanish and yoga classes. You're not allowed to smoke or drink alcohol in the house. If you're interested in volunteer work, see the website for various options.
Our independent authors have visited Casa de los Amigos and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in Mexico City.
