Lonely Planet review

One of the best budget options is the motel-style Hotel Alifer, up a small hill from the zócalo. Some rooms are a bit dingy and dark (avoid bottom-floor rooms that face the echoing hallways and lack exterior windows), but upstairs rooms are clean and spacious with TV and phone. There’s free wi-fi in the lobby.
