Our Best Meal in Mazatlan!

This was, by far, the best meal we had in Mazatlan! It is an elegant little restaurant across the street from the Playa Mazatlan and Ramada Hotels. The prices were very reasonable (about $12 for a pizza and $10-15 for most pasta dishes). Wine was rather overpriced ($8 a glass!). What made it the best, besides the beautiful decor and super attentive waiters, was the meal itself. I started my meal with the house salad... an amazing mix of greens, nuts and goat cheese with a homemade balsamic vinegrette! My friend didn't order a salad and ended up eating half of mine because it was so good. For entrees, my friend had a pizza, baked in a traditional large brick oven, and I had the best pasta dish I've ever eaten! It was bowtie pasta with mushrooms, ham, shrimp, peas, sundried tomatoes and lots of other delicious ingredients. I always enjoy a good pasta dish, and this was just incredible.
If you're looking for a change from the tradional Mexican fare you find everywhere in Mazatlan, I'd highly recommend this gem of a restaurant... well worth taking a pulmonia to get there...even if you're staying nearer the Marina end of the golden zone!
