Lonely Planet review
This 22-story hotel offers passable accommodations: slightly smoky-smelling rooms have private balconies, air-con and floor-to-ceiling windows with great bayfront views (ask for an upper-story room). The only drawback: you're not on the beach.
The views from the top of the hotel are definitely worthwhile - they don't even charge more for the upper-story rooms. But you can probably get a better deal elsewhere in town - especially in low season - if you look around a bit. There's really not much flow to this hotel. The faintly Asian decor is dated, whereas the marble bathrooms still look good. But you do get multiple restaurants and access to their beach club, which allows you to get some sand in your toes...if you're willing to brave the six-lanes of traffic on La Costera.
