Lonely Planet review

Despite its aging facade, this beachfront hotel is in fact one of the nicer top-end options in town, with three outdoor pools, a handful of restaurants, a kids' club and modern remodeled rooms.

From the outside, the Fiesta Americana Villas Acapulco looks a bit forlorn: 19 floors of sea-scarred white high-rise, an aging white elephant planted firmly on Acapulco's golden shores. But once you pass the threshold, you realize that this is really one of the better high-end options in Acapulco Dorado. The kids' club will keep the rugrats busy from dawn 'til dusk, and the tastefully remodelled rooms all offer delightful ocean views. They also come with all the imaginable amenities, and there's a concierge on duty to arrange tours and other fun activities.
