This is a behemoth with a spectacular view from the lobby, but you'll likely spend more time in the pleasant pool area or on the fine, yellow-sand beach. With 120 chic suites decorated in a pleasing Nueva Mexicana style, this elegant hotel pampers its guests with rejuvenating luxury.

The spacious rooms, each with a private balcony, feature timbered ceilings, huge bathrooms with separate tub and shower, and spacious dressing and sitting areas. The higher-priced suites feature a private whirlpool bath. Each room also is equipped with DVD and CD players, and is stocked with all-natural, ooh-la-la French beauty products. If you really want to put on the ritz, you can take advantage of a full-service spa or the international water and pillow menus. Two good restaurants, Alfredo's and Frutas y Flores, feature healthy low-calorie fare.
