Hey does anyone know if the Inca Triail is open again. All the websites say due to open start of April and have not been updated. cheers

i am going solo around peru and crossing the border into Bolivia in April. It all looks so amazing that the more i read the more i want to do and can't fit it in! Obviously the inca trail althought the lonely planet inca trail alternative looks amazing also Kuelap, wineries in ica, nazca lines, volcanoes, lake titicaca with the floating islands and the most dangerous road in the world is just over the border near La Paz sounds like a must do. you get to mountain bike down it! basically the more i read the more i get excieted. i'll let you know what i find!

I'm planning on doing a 5 weeks trip around peru and bolivia, i am going solo and speak no Spanish but have travelled solo in Asia before with no problems as i am fairly good at looking after myself. How much of a problem will the spanish be?

Sounds good, any tips on Bolivia, have decided to do a solo trip to S Am in April, only have 5 weeks free but thought i would fly into peru as my start point (tbc)

commented on Hey there, Right now I am in Ecuador with some friends, but we are all planing on going our seperate ways tomorrow, and naturally I am a little worried to on by myself. If anyone has tips, or know of any good places in Ecuador that are safe for a single woman, please let me know. Who knows maybe you are traveling here too or know of somebody who is. Hey, I'm thinking of travelling solo around south america for 5 weeks starting middle of April. Anyone been/going to S. A with any top tops? I speak no spanish but figure it will be ok just can't decide where to go. Was thinking of landing in peru and making it up from there.

I am thinking of doing S. Am solo in April. I've been travelling solo once before as a mate let me down. it was awesome and you are never really solo as you meet so many cool people so don't worry if you don't find anyone
