About me
Humanitarian Service volunteer and Project Manager in Nepal under the auspices of Medical Mercy Canada Society. I work as a group leader to raise funds for school and orphanage projects. Have worked and lived in Nepal much of the time since 1995. Canadian Representative of the International Porter Protection Group. Advisor to Porters Progress Nepal. I also teach English and Mountain First Aid to Trekking Guides. Currently (2009) our projects are supporting schools in the Tipling area (northern Dhading District) at the foot of the Ganesh Himal range and a Family & Community Health Education project in southwestern sector of Dhading Dsitrict. Teacher training & women’s literacy, family health & nutrition are also part of our program along with support of the READ Nepal Leper Clinic in Kathmandu. Our Projects are supported by individual donors in Germany, Denmark, USA and Canada plus a Nepali NGO, Ecological Protection Forum, part of Ecological Treks & Tours (P) Ltd.
