About me
I am British by birth and I first came to Turkey over 20 years ago and was instantly smitten by the amazing,rich,fascinating,infuriating tapestry that is Turkey.It’s culture,traditions,natural beauty,it’s history and modernity and of course it’s wonderfully warm hospitable people.Oh and the great food!
I have now lived here for 12 years and during this time have lived in several places but now live in a small town close to the Black Sea where I am an English language teaching assistant.My first few years were spent working in the tourism sector in the Bodrum area where I truly came to understand how darned rude and ignorant some people can be!But I also met many others who fell under the ‘Turkish spell’.
I was a destination expert on another well known travel site for several years but left recently when it became apparent that they were happy to condone misuse of the forum by certain members when those members had business connections useful to the owners of the web site :(
Well I am not for sale and neither is my knowledge.I give it freely and with altruism to all who ask purely for the love of my adopted homeland of Turkey,that those coming here will hopefully come to love it as much as I do.
