Trip to Sinai (Egypt) and Jordan South

We will be going to Sinai (through Sharm el Sheikh) and would like to visit the Mount St Catherine (I have already climb to Mount Moses). Is it possible to climb without a guide (as we did on Mt Moses), how long it takes the climbing?
We wille begoing to Jordan (Wadi Rum and Petra) via Nuweiba-ferry to Aqaba . Is it easy to sleep in a bedouin camp in Wadi Rum?
Please advice me of at least two days excursions in Petra. Thanks
