In 2005, Copper Canyon; Ireland, Scotland; Italy and Switzerland; Drove into Alaska and Western Canada . In 2006, Pantanal in Brazil, Southern Bolivia and salt flats, Chile; Greece. In 2007, Paris , Tanzania, South Africa. Chile during the 7.7 earthquake. In 2008, Glacier NP and Yellowstone NP. In 2009, Barcelona, Valencia and Andorra, cruises: Boston-Quebec and San Diego- Acapulco. In 2010, cruise Sea of Cortez.
June/July 2010, 32 day cruise, Northern Europe, London/ Amsterdam/ Kiel Canal/ St Petersburght / North Cape by Artic circle in Norway and countries in between. In Feb-Mar, 2011 visited northen Chile, Peru and Ecuador, with 7 days cruising Galapagos.

Your best bet is an apartment..a nice one bedroom unit can be less than $ 100 per night, especially off summer season. Lots of US living...
