Trekked in Nepal:
Nepal trekking experience:
1994: Sept – Oct – Lake Ra-Ra, Poon hill.
2005: Oct – Nov – Annapurna circuit (AC) and sanctuary (ABC), then Everest region – Gokyo and EBC, via Cho La pass. I trekked solo and independently, but with others I met “on the road”.
2008: April – May – AC and ABC, including side trip to Lake Tilicho Tal. Then to Gokyo, day walk up Renjo La and back. Again trekked solo and independently – fewer other trekkers than in 2005.
2010: Jan – 3 high passes in the Everest region, first time I had trekked with a guide (whom I had met by chance in May 2008).
2010-11: Dec – Feb – walked in from Jiri, then the 3 high passes again, then after 4 nights in my guide’s village, Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu.
