About me
‘Planetary’ is the nickname I chose when I joined LP. Really it should be ‘Interplanetary’ because there are two of us – I am David and my wife is Tamara.
I take the photographs for our blog – The Quillcards Blog – which is a Blogsherpa Lonely Planet featured blog though it is Tamara who sometimes is the one to spot an image waiting to be taken that I have failed to see, so the photos are really a joint effort.
We both write articles for The Quillcards Blog. We decide between us what we want to write about and then the other acts as editor once the article is written.
We both work on the design and layout of the blog (and of the main site) as well.
We both love to travel and meet people who have different life experiences to our own and between us we have clocked up quite a few places we have been to worldwide.
Picking out a couple of countries that stand out in our memories, Tamara has very positive feelings from the three years she spent in Korea before we met and I had a very rewarding two years in Israel.
We also like animals and birds, world-class art, music, dance, film, and learning about many different things from science to history.
We are both passionate about environmental concerns and at the moment Tamara is writing articles for a leading coalition of charities concerned with the survival of endangered species.
Our latest trip was across northern India and we are planning a trip to northern Europe.
Watch this space, as they say!
