About me

I’m a West coast girl, and follow all the usually stereotypes that it entails. I love hiking, the outdoors, scuba diving, traveling, a good debate, & drinking.

Life is too damn short, so I’m going to go out and try to experience as much of it as possible. I’ve completed the “Me In Front of Famous Thing” album, an I’m ready to get as far off the beaten path as my meager resources will allow me, because its either that or finish my college degree and get a real job (shudder)

My traveling style is me and my carry-on size backpack and the philosophy of, well if I can save up enough for the plane ticket I’m gonna go, even if I have to live off of bread and cheese.

I remember this one time, I had gotten into Paris after midnight and had only 5 hours to kill before I needed to get to the airport, and was basically out of money, but it was November and cold, so I just walked and walked and walked around the city, to keep warm. Hours later the bakeries started their baking and there I am cold, tired, hungry, and an owner ushered me in gave me heavenly hot coffee, a freshed baked croissant and chatted happily away in French, I, of course don’t speak the language, and used my only phrase, “No je ne parle pas francais,” I don’t speak French, to which the owner looked at me shook his head and kept right on talking. Just one of many examples of the hospitality I have gotten while in that country. France will always have a special place in my heart, the culture, the food, the wine, the people all lovely.

Of course so will Australia, my mum’s an oz, I have dual citizenship and its nice to find an entire continent filled with people who share such similarities with me mum.

So, I’ve been to: Australia, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, almost every state in America (even Hawaii & Alaska), western Europe, and in 2010 I went from Greece to Egypt and visited a ton of Middle Eastern countries. So feel free to ask me any questions!
