Any ideas for volunteering or good hostels in this area?
I’m cutting & pasting these from 2 websites I’ve profiles on so I hope they’re not redundant.
I’ve done volunteer work with disabled and abled at http://sharevillage.org in Northern Ireland mostly in Arts but also taught archery to blind, painting to quadrapeligics, crazy stuff like that…….taught conversational English to Iberians in Spain http://www.puebloingles.com Now THAT was FUN! Love traveling to Europe; esp. Ireland, Italy, Holland.Spain. I do volunteer work there so most of the time I travel alone. Heck I travel alone everywhere. Nobody much is into museums & Irish dancing ya know……Interested in all types of art. I paint murals (my home is replete with them),& also Coats of Arms; reading (history mostly); music—-70s & 80s I’d guess— Enjoy Museums, playing with my sun conure (small parrot),my pair of Shetland Sheepdogs..
Who I’d like to meet:
People who like international travel &/or doing volunteer work overseas; (I’ve done volunteer work in Northern Ireland for two summers & part (great craic!) of one winter/ & taught Conversational English a week & half in Spain..(Double Kiss!! I LOVE that!) Tell me new places to go & what to see in places I’ve not been! Thailand seems to be a favorite of some friends. What do you think? I’d like to check out South America or China. I’ve been to Europe a few times & may need to “branch out”. lol Artists or musicians—-LOVE watching people play any instrument. It fascinates me. —I’d like to meet Anyone creative in ANY field…writing is quite interesting. WITTY, INTELLIGENT people who like to have FUN & not just SIT THERE! People into Irish Dancing. It is SO much fun!(& nerdy
