About me

Hi I’m Megan I am 26 years old and currently living near London working as a Government social researcher. I love travelling and have spent the last few years saving a small fortune so I can have a massive trip around the world. I previously travelled 26 countries in Africa for 9 months; most of which was an overand tour but the last few months were independent travel – this trip is all independent travel and all by myself EEK!!!

So the coutrnies I am visiting are: Thailand, Myanmar, Bagnladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, (possibly Pakistan, Oman and Yemen), Jordan, (possibly Israel), Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Armenia, Goergia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tadjikstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malayasia, Signapore, Indonesia, Brunei, East Timor, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Oz, NZ, all the islands around there and then onto South Amrica, Central America, Caribbean, Canada and possibly back to Africa.

I love everything about travelling. I love meeting new cultures that are different to my own and learning the way they live (especially tribes). I like visiting beautiful natural scenes and historical places, as well as interesting architecture and art. I like meeting local people and seeing their ways of life whilst also meeting like minded travellers to hear about their experiences. I love trying all new and adventurous activities such as skydiving, white water rafting and surfing. I like a good hike in beautiful places and diving – so yeah I love pretty much anything!

Ok well thats me… I head off in February, at the moment I’m planning the first part of my trip (asia) and am having trouble with visas so any advice would be great! I’m not sure how much to plan in advance, don’t expect it will be a lot as I am running out of time but if anyone has any tips on what to get sorted that would be great!
