About me

I am currently living it up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, enjoying my passions every day of education and the Spanish language. I am teaching English and also working at a Spanish school, helping to encourage other foreigners to take advantage of the great language learning opportunities here. I have been sharing my own travel and life experiences through my blogs and photos and hope to share with more people around the world!

Do not come to Argentina for the beer. Quilmes is what's usually on tap - basically the Bud light of the South. However, when in Patagonia, take advantage of the handcrafted artisan breweries! I tried this amazing sampler at Blest in Bariloche after a 30 km bike ride!

I am living in Buenos Aires so the first thing that came to mind when reading the name of this group was "Recoleta" - as seen below in wanderingcityfan's picture. Among other famous Argentines, Evita Peron is burried here. There is another cemetary, Chacarita, in Buenos Aires that I need to check out. Famous icons such as Carlos Gardel, a tango singer, rest there.

Unfortunately, I don't have a picture at this time, but the Old Jewish Cemetary in Prague is also amazing - the tombs are layered on top of each other!

I traveled for work for the past 2 years around the U.S. and got very used to making the best out of my own company. It is a little more difficult when traveling alone abroad which I've done a couple of times in London, Spain and Italy. But with the wonders of hostels these days, it is an excellent opportunity to meet some pretty amazing and interesting people!
