Mark has been a writer and journalist for more than 20 years and has helped pen several Lonely Planet guide books on Thailand.
Having worked as an award-winning reporter in England for 13 years, he moved to Thailand in 2004 and began exploring Southeast Asia.
He has dragged his backpack, camera and notebook to more than 40 countries, writing articles for Insight Guides, Travelfish, the Bangkok Post, The Nation, Reveal and others. He’s also dabbled in TV and radio work.
When he’s not on the road, Mark teaches at an international school near Bangkok and spends his time searching for the perfect som tam and trying to perfect his Thai.
