About me
Archaeologist working on projects in UK & Ireland since 1976. Have also worked on the excavations at Birka (Sweden) and twice in Beirut, Lebanon (1993 & again in 1994-5).
Have travelled widely all over the world since 1968, usually as an independent backpacker and sometimes alone; stopped counting countries when the number passed sixty.
Some people get their high from booze, some from drugs – I get mine from independent travel!
