Looking for a great souvenir shop:
If you are looking for a collection of fun and original souvenirs, WaWas is a must see during your stay in Barcelona. I love Wawa´s souvenirs because they are so original. They are not your typical image captured of Tibidabo or the Barcelonesa beaches. Their perspecitve and point of view are extremely unique. Their images were first intended for postcards but they have now ventured to mugs, plates, magnets and even Chocolate bars! What better way to remember Barcelona than having the image of a postcard as you consume some divine chocolate from Xocoa, a famous chocolate shop with locations all over the city. Located in the center of the city, walking distance from Plaza Catalunya Picasso Museum, Las Ramblas, and the old city, it is extremely easy to find yourself very close to the store during your stay in Barcelona. I also love their collection of guidebooks because they are not your typical assortment. They offer books that are geared towards the specific wants of the customer—restaurants or “cool places” or architecture or shopping. They tell you what you need to know, how to see the most interesting sites in Barcelona, that are not neccessarily the most well known. They can sometimes be a charming café, park or plaza—attractions and places that are often overlooked or forgotten because tourist become so caught up in the most well known and talked about places. The store is also filled with things that fall under the anonymous category: a tradicional spanish cook book, urban poetry pins, more unique souvenirs by CHA CHA with edgy graphic designs, a collection of wall papers that are modern and fashionable, fish eye camera and accesories that accompany it, humorous tshirts with silly ironic messages, and random little nic naks Duch as pins, scarfs, jewelry, and school bags constructed of recycled plastic signs from around Barcelona.
